A couple of minutes ago, I received a notification of an event taking place tonight in White Hall that might be of interest to some of you. From what I can gather through Arts at Emory, this is an artists talk by a couple of people doing work that combines photography and writing in interesting ways. Nicholas Muellner sounds like an intriguing artist — his most recent book is In Most Tides an Island, which is described as an “image-text book [that] journeys through shifting tableaux of exile and solitude in the digital age.”
Unfortunately, I have plans this evening and won’t be able to make it, but if any of you are interested and free, please attend and let the rest of us know how it goes — write up a post reacting to the event, especially relating it to any of the concepts we’re discussing this semester, and I’ll give extra credit.
