Triptych

Looking over the triptych comics on A Softer World, my favorite comics were those that played with my expectations. I enjoyed those where the third frame changes the tone of the comic in an unanticipated way. Here are two examples illustrating my point:   In both of these comics, the first two frames set the …

Sketch 4: Triptych

The inspiration for my triptych came from my everyday life. I wanted to represent the progression of walking to class on a day when I really did not want to run into anyone or talk to anyone because I was stressed or even hungry. While this triptych does not represent my feelings on a daily […]

I took these three pictures on a bus in China. The child in the picture shows different cute facial expressions as if he was “struggling” with something. So I captured these moments and made it into an interesting triptych.

Podcast Graphic

Once I typed in the first sentence, everything just flowed out sequentially. I selected some most significant turning points of me using different media …

Dual-Mean Transit

This combophoto served as an basic exercise in photoshop. My knowledge of photoshop is limited, so creating this combophoto helped me gain basic experience with layers and transforming and resizing images. The photoshop aspect of this project was the more intimidating part of this exercise at first, but once I finished the project I […]
